Our Galos Accumulating, Linking and Organizing Society has been established by two Andrew Galos (Andreas and Andras), who have met by chance (!) on the Internet.

Our plan is to get contact to all people named Galos and to create some kind of virtual family. See more: Project goals.

Anders Galos

Anders is the son of Stefan and the brother of Peter. He lives in Uppsala, Sweden where he studies to become a medical doctor, aiming to become a pediatrician. He spends most of his spare time doing sports like BJJ, shoot fighting and running.

Andras Galos

Born in 1969 in Budapest, Hungary, lives and works there as a mechanical engineer. His father is Gabor, born in 1930. Andras has two sons, Attila (1992) and Csaba (1995), and has a brother, Peter (1970).

His name came from the name Gebhardt. After the World War II his grandfather changed his name to Galos from Gebhardt because of political reasons. His father Gabor was also born as Gebhardt in 1930, but Andras is Galos from his born.

Andras Galos

Born in 1955 in Sopron, Hungary. His father is Laszlo, died in 1978. He has an older brother Laszlo, he lives in Sopron too.

He has two sons, Adam and Szabolcs. Andras works as a customs administrator now.

Andreas Galos

Born 1973 in Budapest, Hungary, he lives in Stuttgart (Germany) where he works as a mechanical engineer, more precisely as an ergonomist. His cousin is Esther.

Bernard Galos

Lives in the Philippines. Born in November 9, 1982. Married to Cathy Lopez Galos and has one son named Mackenzie. A graduate of Mechanical Engineering (under board). He is now an entrepreneur, owns a souvenir shop in Camiguin Island, Philippines. He loves music and cars. His hobbies include designing using Adobe Adobe Photoshop (for t-shirt printing), riding his motorcycle, traveling, and just hanging out with friends and family.

Bernard also wants to find a job abroad. He is currently looking/searching for a good-paying job in other countries. (he is hoping that he could find one soon, and would be very grateful if somebody could help him).

His father is Leonardo and his sister is Rubylyn.

Brigitta Galos

Born in 1975 in Budapest, Hungary. She works with children. Her brother is Zoltan born in 1978.

Charles Galos

Born in Ontario, Canada. His parents are Eva Hani and Karoly Galos. His mother is from Koszeg, father from Nagykanizsa in Hungary. Charles and Dave are brothers in the real life.

He works at an electronic company.

His hobby is the 3D drawing and rendering with AutoCAD and 3-D Studio.

Dave Galos

Born in 1963 in Ontario, Canada, lives in Simcoe. He and Charles are brothers.

Erica Galos

She was born in California in 1975, now she lives in Phoenix, AZ, where she works. She has one brother, Shawn Galos. She has one sister, Monica Galos.

Her father is Jozsef. Her grandparents are Jozsef and Perry Galos. They moved to the United States from Budapest in the 1950s or 60s.

Esther Galos

She was born in 1978 in Hungary. In 1983 she and her parents emigrated to Germany. Now she lives there in Sinzig, near Bonn. Andreas is her cousin.

Eva Galos

She was born in 1954 in Gyor, Hungary. She has got one brother Gabor Galos, born in 1943 in Szabadka, Hungary, he also lives in Gyor.

Her father is Sandor Galos, he had two brothers, Janos and Erzsebet. Her father died in 1994. Eva's grandfather is also Sandor Galos, born in 1898, his ancestors are also Galoses. Eva has already been to Galosfa, a small town between Kaposvar and Gyor, Hungary. She's tried examine the local register of births, but was unsuccessful due to lack of time.

Fritzie Galos

She was born on October 17, 1977 at Ormoc City, Philippines. She finished BS in Home Economics (meaning she is a good cook). She has 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Her mom's name is Josefina and her dad's is Mauricio. Her younger sister is Maureen.

Her great-grandmother is the Galos in the family and they inherit it. She was a Europian, they just don't know her nationality.

Gloria Galos

Born August 1975 in California. Her grandfather was Ismail Tomada Galos, her father is Michael Galos. She has been trying to find out from where "Galos" originates. She camps, rides dirtbikes, sews, draws and paints, builds, jack of all trades and master of none...etc. Very mechanically inclined.

Her father is half filipino and mother is from the Philippines. They are the only Galos family on the West Coast that she knows of in Southern California.

Istvan Galos

He was born in December 19th 1975. Now he is a student in Budapest, Hungary in the Kolos Richard Mechanical High School.

He spends his spare time with 3D Studio.

His great-great grandfather was already Galos.

Istvan Galos

He was born in 1966. in Mohacs, Hungary. He studied as a forester, but now he breeds birds.

His son is Istvan (1992), daughter Erika Reka (1996) and younger son Botond Zsolt (2000). His sister is Ilona (1958).

His father is Istvan (1935), and his father's sisters are Ida, Klara, younger sisters are Anna, Judit and younger brother is Janos.

His grandfather is Istvan Galos (1904-1983), but he was born as Gregyina.

His great grandfather was Jozsef Gregyina he was a carpenter. He came from Italy when he was young. He worked on the building of the house of the Hungarian Parliament, on the House of the Nation. Later he established his family in Brezdan, in Croatia. He emigrated to the United States around 1910, to Ohio. Supposedly he feather his nest there, but he was caught on illegal brandy making, and he lost everything. Couldn't get home at all. No more information Istvan knows about him unfortunately.

She was born in 1979 in Budapest, Hungary. Her father is Jeno.

Judit Galos

She was born in 1973 in Pecs, Hungary. She has a younger brother Balazs. She lives in family with her husband and two children. One from December 2002, the other from June 2009. Her father is from the Vas county of Hungary, from Nemesbo. His mother is called Ilona Bodei, his father is called Ferenc Galos. Judit's father has four siblings: older sister Magdolna, older brother Janos, younger sister Zsuzsanna, and younger brother Ferenc. She only knows about Ferenc that he lives somewhere in Germany.

Judy Galos

She was born in Australia in December 1957. She lives in Brisbane. Has 3 children (born 1990, and a pair of twins in 1993). She is divorced.

She has Degree in Business and Teaching. Currently, she teaches special education. She loves her job, that is very rewarding.

Her father was Ferenc Galos, who went to Australia after the World War II. Ferenc was born in Hungary in Szombathely. He has an older brother Sandor. Judy has two older brothers and another brother deceased in 1970.

Leonardo Galos

Born in May 25, 1958. Son of Anecito Galos (deceased) and Magdalena Galos. Married to Nila Galos and has five children. (Rubylyn, Bernard, Kherstien, Sean Gabrielle and Heart). He likes body building, and has joined several body building competitions when he was with DelMonte Philippines Inc..

He has a passion for cars and made his very first vehicle in 1995. He loves nature, specially the beach. He now works with National Food Inc. in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. Leonardo is a music-lover, likes to sing, and visit different places. He has five other siblings, namely Magdalene, Anelina, Antonio, Christina and Zaldy Galos.

He lives in the Philippines.

Manny Galos Miano

He lives in the Philippines, he was born in October 1968. His province is Rosario, Northern Samar. At present, he lives at Ft. Bonifacio, Makaty City. He works in an Investment House along Paseo da Roxas, Makati City as LAN Administrator & Purchasing Officer and he is a graduate of BS Computer Science.

His mother's name is Asuncion Galos "Asun", his great grandfather's name is Lucio Galos "Lucio" and his grandfather's name is Clemente Galos "Mente". His great grandfather came from Bicol region and is a half Spanish.

Michael Galos

Born in Utah, USA in 1956, lives in Bellevue, Washington, USA. After being a program manager for Microsoft Corporation for 13 years, he now does computer training and consulting and is now consulting to Microsoft as a Developer Evangelist.

"Well, actually, I'm kind of a pseudo Galos. My grandfather was a (Hungarian) hussar back around the turn of the century. Despite our family being in Hungary for many generations, the family name was German (Steiner). After the 1st World War, German names were not exactly popular in Hungary so he changed it to Galos around 1919 or 1920."

Patricia Galos

She is an optometry student at the University of Houston College of Optometry, she started it in 2004. Her grandfather is Gabriel Galos (1915) who you may google to find out more about this amazing man. He had 4 children and several grandchildren.

Peter Galos

He was born in Stockholm, Sweden and he has an academic background in Engineering mathematics. He is now working as Physician in Mora, Sweden.

He is brother of Anders and son of Stefan.

Rubylyn Galos

She was born in April 9, 1980. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Development Communication in Ateneo de Cagayan, Xavier Univeristy. She is working as a Court Interpreter in the Municipal Trial Court of Medina, Misamis Oriental, under the Supreme Court of the Philippines. She is married to Edan Mark Vosotros and they have a son named Xander Vin.

She is a music lover, loves singing and dancing. She also loves to read novels (historical romance, courtroom drama and fiction). She is a family-oriented person who loves to spend time with her family as much as possible.

She also likes to travel and visit different places.....

Leonardo Galos is her father and he's currently working in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and her mother's name is Nila Galos. Bernard Galos is her younger brother, and she has three younger sisters namely: Kherstien Galos, Sean Gabrielle Galos and our youngest, Heart Galos. She is the eldest in the family. They are natural-born Filipinos living in the Philippines.

Her grandfather, (her father's father) was Anecito Galos. She has aunts and uncles here who are her father's siblings. They are all Galoses.

Rutheil Galos

He is from the Philippines, and was born in 31st of December, 1969. He lives in Pasay City, which is a part of Manila. He works for a chemical fertilizer manufacturer as an executive and administration assistant.

His roots are mainly in the Philippines, inherits from the Spanish. His father's name is Wilfredo "Indoy" Galos and his grandfather is Pisyong Galos. His family were living in Isabel, Leyte a province about 1200 miles south of Manila (close to Ormoc where Fritzie and her sister originated).

Sandor Galos

He was born in 1971 in Torokszentmiklos, Hungary. He trades building materials.

His father and grandfather are also Sandor. His father was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1945. Csilla, Emma and Vilma are sisters of his father, Ferenc is his brother. Sandor has a younger sister, Krisztina.

He lives in Sweden till 1956. He was born in Budapest in 1947. He has two son Andrers and Peter. He is a dentist with hobbies like hunting, fishing, golf and of course wine tasting.

Tiberiu Galos

Born in Aghires, Romaina, near Cluj-Napoca in 1952. School in Cluj-Napoca, Polytechnic Institute in Bucharest, Computer Science in 1976. Mathematics as second degree at the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca in 1987. Lives in Oradea. His son is Tudor.

Tudor Galos

He was born in 1980 in Oradea, Romania.

Currently he lives in Bucharest, where he studies at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest at the Computer Science dept. His father is Tiberiu. His mother is Ioana Galos, who works as a physicians at the County Hospital in Oradea, a city situated at the border with Hungary.

His father's father , Vasile Galos fought in World War II and was captured by the Red Army and imprisoned in Siberia. There are still many Galos in Cluj-Napoca (uncles, aunts, cousins).
